I'm running a GTX 670 and I've already tried completely uninstalling and re-installing the latest drivers, and I haven't been able to find accounts from other pg278q owners online who have these same problems with ULMB. The result here is very noticeable, but nowhere near as pronounced as the problems that occur when the other monitor is connected. But I'm experiencing a lot of problems while using it as well, such as frequent stuttering and occasional flickering while scrolling text, and very frequent moments like what I described above, where the strobing seems to desync with the movement on the screen.

It works properly about 50% of the time, meaning that the moment I turn it on I can move windows or scroll through text and still get a sharp, readable image. So my first question is, should I expect these kinds of problems any time I try to run two monitors that have vastly different refresh rates?Īs for ULMB mode, it got better after I disconnected that second display, but it still has problems. Of these two problems, the first one was fixed the moment I disconnected the VE247H entirely. About 75% of the time the backlight strobing would not sync up properly with the motion on the screen, resulting in a permanent double imaging effect any time I moved a window or scrolled through text. In addition to that problem, using the monitor in ULMB mode was causing other problems while I had the VE247H plugged in. The ghosting and choppiness when scrolling text in a browser is so bad that it starts to give me a headache when I look at it for too long. Namely, I get a lot of ghosting when I move windows and particularly when I scroll text.
Whenever I have both of them connected, I get very poor out of game performance with the main display, the PG278Q. The PG278Q is set as the main display and has it's refresh rate set to 120Hz, the VE247H is capped at 60Hz.
I'm having two problems with the PG278Q and I'm not sure if they are inevitable or if the monitor is malfunctioning.įirst, I have an old VE247H that I'm trying to use as a second monitor.
